Gogobot West L.A. Launch {6.4.2012}
Here are some of my favorite moments from a recent Gogobot event at Wokcano in Santa Monica.
I shot this with my 5D2 + 35 f/1.4 handheld at 1/5 at f/5.0, ISO 6400 in one hand and a 580 EX-II shooting through a white umbrella on the other hand. I set the camera on manual focus before the show started and pre-focused several feet in front of me where I figured the models would stop and pose. The starburst in the back came from one of the audience member’s flashes.
5D2 + 35/f/1.4 at 1/30 at f/1.8, ISO 6400. Most of the light came from a flash that I bounced off the white cape of a nearby cabana.
5D2 + 15 f/2.8 fisheye, 1/4 at f/2.8, ISO 6400. I braced my camera on a railing to keep it steady enough for this exposure.
